Jon Shepherd

BSc Kinesiology, Canadian Certified Pedorthist (CPedC), Certified Pedorthic Techniciain (CPed Tech)

First completing his BSc in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University, Jon turned his focus to becoming a Canadian Certified Pedorthist in 2003. As somebody who enjoys an active lifestyle full of cycling, basketball, soccer, triathlons, and previous experience as a volunteer firefighter for both Wildland Fire and the City of Surrey, Jon understands the importance of injury prevention, protection and rehabilitation. This can be seen through the professional, personalized care and education he gives each patient. When he is not at work, Jon can be found coaching his two son's in soccer, playing hockey or out for a bike ride. 

Mycaela Vandervoort

B.Kin-Athletic Therapy, C.Ped (C) Certification Candidate, Splinting & Bracing Specialist

Mycaela is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Victoria in 2021 with her husband who serves in the Royal Canadian Air Force. She has always been involved in sports and athletics and grew up playing Volleyball and competitively dancing. She completed a bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an Athletic Therapy focus that lead her to a position at Rebalance MD in the splinting and bracing department. From there she has continued her education in Pedorthics and helps patients with orthopaedic bracing and custom orthotic services.  

Graeme McKay

B.Kin, Splinting & Bracing Specialist, Cast Removal 

Graeme is originally from Duncan, BC and completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a focus on Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of British Columbia in the Okanagan. He has always led an active lifestyle and was involved in a variety of sports but spent the most time playing rugby. His previous experience as a Physiotherapy Support Worker and Strength and Conditioning Intern provides a broad range of experience to draw from while making bracing recommendations.

Quinn Baak

B.Kin, C.Ped (C) Certification Candidate, Splinting, Bracing & Footwear Specialist

Originally moving to Victoria from Kelowna, BC to pursue rugby, Quinn landed at One Bracing in September 2023. He originally joined the field of orthoses and bracing working as an orthotic tech and custom ski boot fitter during his kinesiology undergrad. Quinn has deep roots to both the skiing and rugby communities and loves to lend knowledge to athletes looking to use biomechanics to improve their performance. Since his undergrad, Quinn has chosen to pursue a career as a pedorthist to do his part in keeping his patients active and moving.
